Is there on-site private parking?
Yes, there is enough parking for two large cars at each Lake House. If you do bring more cars there is a public car park a short walk away where you can leave them for a nightly charge.
How far is to Bowness from my Lake House?
Bowness is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. The walk is easy, flat and beautiful, skirting the edge of the Lake Windermere all the way into bowness. There you will find a Tesco, small boutique shops and cafes and much more.
What’s the best way to get to my Lake House?
By Train: If you come by train you can get a taxi from Windermere train station which is a short 10 minute drive. There are usually Taxis waiting but, you may want to book one just in case. By Car: We are a quick 18 Mile drive from M6 exit 36 and 89 miles from Manchester Airport (a direct train runs from Manchester Airport to Windermere train station).
Is it okay to get food delivered once we arrive?
Of course, a number of our guests order a full shop to last them the week from the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury’s. You will need to be in for the delivery, we won’t be able to accept it for you. We always provide the essentials, milk, eggs, bread, butter and a few special touches help you start your holiday.
